What Fusion is not
Scope boundaries — features Fusion does not provide
Fusion is an HTTP application framework with a shared Rust core. To avoid false expectations, these capabilities are not provided by the framework packages today:
| Not included | Notes |
|---|---|
| ORM / database layer | Use any DB library in your language; Fusion does not ship one |
| Dependency injection container | Python has request parameter binding only; not IoC |
| Background job queues | No built-in workers/queues |
| Plugin marketplace runtime | Library packages are normal imports via CLI |
| OAuth / session auth suite | Only optional Bearer JWT middleware helpers |
| WebSockets / GraphQL / gRPC | HTTP request/response model |
| Templating / SSR | API-oriented |
| In-repo CLI source | Scaffolding lives in external Fusion Tool |
If documentation elsewhere mentions a feature not listed in language guides or this architecture section, verify against the fusion-framework source before relying on it.
