Update Fusion Tool

fusion update

This checks the latest GitHub release, downloads the build for your platform if a newer version exists, and replaces the running fusion binary in place via self-replace.

Supported update targets

Other OS/arch combinations should rebuild from source (cargo install --path .) or use the install scripts where supported. The macOS installer currently targets x86_64 (ARM64 is not offered as a prebuilt in the installer script).

Behavior

• Keeps the current install location — no reinstall or PATH change
• Does nothing if you are already up to date
• Does not bump the framework pin inside existing projects (fusion-framework.toml / dependency files)

If Fusion Tool was installed to a system-wide directory, run the update with write permission for that path:

sudo fusion update
